Our Small Group leadership team (we call them coaches at CCV) started planning a retreat for our leaders this winter. I was reminded of the power a retreat can have on relationships and spiritual growth. I think so many of us forget to utilize the numerous Christian retreat centers around us as a resource. Most of the time you don't have to travel more than an hour to get to one.

Nothing beats doing things together. Last night, our team of coaches met to work on various items related to our church's small group ministry. Honestly, I came to this meeting with a bit of a bad attitude somewhat caused by a tough day at work, somewhat caused by the lack of connection with the other coaches due to our sporadic summer meeting schedule.
