Leading Life Changing Small Groups, by Bill Donahue, is a great reference tool for the experienced leader or an excellent start up manual for the brand new group leader. It really does not matter what phase of small group life you happen to be in. What we do as small group leaders is all about helping people initiate life change and I wouldn't want it any other way.

When we were first starting up our small group ministry here at Christ's Church of the Valley I needed a tool I could use to equip our new Home Team (small group) leaders. Donahue's book was my choice. It has a work book lesson style that makes it easy to teach with in a formal class room atmosphere, or simply use it to do a take home study. It also puts thought provoking questions in front of you to get you to think through issues before they happen in your group.
