Chicago ahead of schedule.  The team had a great time on the way to the LaQuinta Inn from the airport.  I plugged in my Zune which was loaded with music and brought everyone back to their childhood playing a music guessing game with classic TV themes.  It passed the van ride quickly.

We have a great group that is eager to learn and really loves what God is doing in our church.  After checking in we buzzed over the the church for New Community.

Mike Breaux taught today on Spiritual Gifts and it was the perfect way to start off our time together.  It put the whole experience we were about to have into perspective and helped us to focus on our individual roles in the body of Christ.

Hopefully we will keep that in perspective as we attend the conference and learn from other teachers, churches, and eachother.

Yes! A Blog! One of the Home Teams (small groups) at CCV recently started a blog to keep everyone in the group filled in on group events and life change that is happening in their Home Team. Blogs are so easy to manage and start with all of the user friendly tools out there and I think it is a great idea for any small group. You can post your next study or even start discussions online about what the group was talking about the previous week. Here is a link to the group I mentioned.
